Synopsis: 

Bears, wolves, lynx and a host of other species once roamed Ireland’s forests but the loss of our wildlife didn’t end with our large predators. But after seeing these animals up close, Anja Murray explores the possibility of rewilding parts of Ireland and in a remote part of western mayo, she may have found the answer.

In Wild Nephin, Ireland’s newest national park, a major ecological restoration project is underway and if successful could offer much needed sanctuary to what remains of Ireland’s rapidly disappearing wildlife.
