The world-renowned Irish Tenors present a musical and entertainment feast in a new ten-part series beginning on RTÉ One.

The series, from the producers of the hugely successful Celebrity Jigs N’ Reels, Mind the Gap Films, promises to be a real treat for RTÉ’s summer schedule.

Backed by many of Ireland’s finest musicians The Irish Tenors; Anthony Kearns, Finbar Wright, and new member Karl Scully, will perform songs from the trio’s enormous crowd-pleasing repertoire of Irish classics, popular standards, showtunes, and light opera. Each week the Tenors will be joined by leading Irish and international musical guests. Already confirmed are Andrew Lloyd Weber, Hayley Westenra, Shayne Ward, Sharon Shannon, Paul Carrick, Peter Grant, Lucia Evans and Paul Byrom.

Joining the trio for their first programme is Brian Kennedy, fresh from his stunning performance at the Eurovision in Athens, along with Rebecca Storm.

The Irish Tenors will bring their vocal power and performance magic to this new RTÉ series. Having sold out the world’s most famous concert venues like Madison Square Garden, The Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl and Radio City Music Hall, the Irish Tenors have brought audiences to their feet and are at the height of their entertaining powers. Their success in Ireland is undiminished and they have sold out The Point Theatre Dublin, The Odyssey, Belfast and the INEC, Killarney each December for the past five years.

The Irish Tenors have released eight best selling albums in the past seven years, all of which have featured in the Billboard World Music Top Ten.

The Irish Tenors have recorded an unprecedented five TV specials for PBS in the USA. These shows have been broadcast all over the world, including South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, USA & Canada. Their recording on Ellis Island, presented by actor Martin Sheen, made entertainment history as the first concert to be recorded in the legendary ‘Registry Hall’ – through which millions of emigrants entered the USA.

The series will be directed by John Comiskey and produced by Bill Hughes and Bernadine Carraher
