Scope of On-Call Service
The on-call service is in place to assist media with urgent matters that arise unexpectedly during out-of-hours periods. This may include seeking a response from RTÉ in relation to pressing news stories for next day (print) /current day (broadcast /online).

Please note that the scope of service out-of-hours is limited; the Press Office in many instances relies on divisions which may have reduced shift staff in place, or which may only operate during standard Office Hours. The On-Call Press Officer cannot provide the following elements out-of-hours:

• Programme ratings
• Screen grabs (news grabs may be provided, subject to resources)
• Unpublished audio
• Preview DVDs
• Interview requests
• Tallies of complaints/comments

Query submissions
In order to provide you with as comprehensive a response as possible we would request that complex queries involving detailed comment, in-depth audience analysis or other detailed information would be submitted as early as possible in the day to allow the Press Office to gather information requested from multiple sources. The later the query the less information we can provide.

Outside of office hours are: 8am-9:15am/5:30pm-10:00pm Monday to Friday; 10am to 8pm Saturday/Sunday.
