Nationwide – Week 8 This week, Nationwide has three special programmes focusing on Cork Harbour. THE IRISH REVOLUTION ***LAST IN SERIES*** The third and final episode of The Irish Revolution begins in late 1920 as Ireland is in the full throes of war. Towns and villages have been ravaged, raids on homes strike fear among the people and hundreds of republicans have been arrested.
ECO EYE This episode will see Anja Murray investigate the state of migratory fish in Irish waters, including the inland barriers to migration that are contributing to the collapsing population of salmon, European eels, and lamprey. She’ll also explore conservation efforts and workable solutions to these problems.
