Join RTÉ 2fm as we celebrate the 10th Electric Picnic Festival, we’ve been there every year bringing 2fm listeners live music, band interviews and a taste of the Stradbally craic over the airwaves.
RTÉ 2fm is broadcasting 24 hours of live programming from Electric Picnic on Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September in Stradbally, Co. Laois sponsored by Electric Ireland. 2fm will record over 50 artists on five stages across the weekend in the biggest radio production in Ireland, outside of a general election.
This is the 10th year of the Electric Picnic festival and 2fm has broadcast live from the event every year for that decade. Our coverage will bring listeners the music and atmosphere of the festival on radio, online and through social media. The outside broadcast is a co-production with BBC Northern Ireland.
2fm will bring listeners 24 hours of live radio coverage of the festival from DJ’s Colm Hayes, Rick O’Shea, Dan Hegarty, Dave Fanning, Ruth Scott, Paddy McKenna, Jenny Greene, Cormac Battle and Dave Fanning. Donal Dineen will also host the Radio Activity stage in the Body and Soul area. Donal has put together a bill of Ireland’s best electronic and ambient acts, just the kinds of acts he gives a platform to on his show on 2fm.
