DAN HEGARTY WITH DRY COUNTY IN SESSION Dubliner’s Dry County released their debut album ‘Unexpected Falls’ (LAZYB10) after three years of blood, sweat and tears, on 4 May 2007. It is the band’s second release following on from the Nothing Stays In Place ep (LAZYB8), May 2004 which has continued to sell over the intervening period. The band have been regular players in Irish venues and over the two years, doing a number of their own tours and playing with and supporting the likes of God Is An Astronaut, Whipping Boy, Jape, Messiah J & The Expert, James Yorkston and Jimmy Edgar. They have also featured at events and festivals such as Hard Working Class Heroes, Bud Rising, Electric Picnic, IMRO showcase tour and Pop Komm.

DAN HEGARTY WITH SATELLITE PARTY LIVE AT OXEGEN O7 American alt rockers fronted by former Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros front man Perry Farrell played their first ever Irish show at Oxegen this summer. The band’s debut album entitled Ultra Payloaded was released on 29 May 2007, with contributions from artists such as John Frusciante and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, electronic dance pioneers Hybrid and Joy Division/New Order bassist Peter Hook. The album includes a “lost song” titled “Woman in the Window” with vocals by the late Doors front man Jim Morrison.
To say the set was raw and will offend your grandmother, grandfather and our forefathers is to understate.

THE FREQUENCY WITH JENNY GREENE
Jenny, who joined RTÉ 2fm after eight years with Dublin station FM104, began her career at the tender age of 15 when she was a DJ with the pirate station Pulse FM. She then entered the competition in RTÉ 2fm called ’DJ for a Day’ and was in the final six. Jenny began working in FM104 when she was just 17 and joined RTÉ 2fm earlier this year to present The Frequency. Tune into Jenny Greene every Friday on RTÉ 2fm’s The Frequency from 7pm to 10pm.

The Pigeon Detectives are from Rothwell, Leeds, and formed in 2002. They are signed to the label Dance to the Radio with whom their debut album, ‘Wait For Me’ was released on the 28th May 2007. The album, recorded in the autumn of 2006, has been produced by Will Jackson (Kaiser Chiefs / Embrace) and mixed in part by Cenzo Townshend (Snow Patrol / Kaiser Chiefs / Bloc Party) and Steve Harris (The Automatic / U2).The album leaked to underground music download sites across the internet on 11 April 2007. The album charted straight in at Number 3 on The UK Top 40. Recorded for 2fm LIVE on the Green Room Stage Oxegen Saturday July 7 by Karl Walker and produced by Paul Mc Loone.
