Series Synopsis
Museum of Me invites six well-known Irish figures to tell their own story through the objects they have kept over the years. From career highs to personal turning points, each item opens up a part of their life and offers a glimpse of the person behind the public image.

Presented by Dermot Whelan, each episode brings warmth, humour and honesty to the stories behind the objects, revealing a more personal side of some of Ireland’s best-known faces. Everything builds towards a one-night-only exhibition at Fota House in Cork, where those stories are shared with family, friends and the public.

Personal, surprising and often emotional, Museum of Me shows how the objects we keep and treasure can end up saying the things we cannot always put into words.

RTÉ broadcaster Bryan Dobson curates a one-night-only exhibition of personal objects, revealing the private moments behind a public life spent reporting on some of Ireland’s biggest stories.

Synopsis
After more than 40 years on Irish television, Bryan Dobson steps out from behind the desk to tell his own story. Through a selection of deeply personal items, he looks back on the moments that shaped his life and career, from early influences to the realities of reporting on history as it unfolded. Each object brings back a memory, as Bryan reflects on the pressures of live television, the responsibility of delivering major national news, and the life behind one of Ireland’s most familiar voices. Warm, thoughtful and quietly revealing, it all leads to a special one-night exhibition where his story is told through the things he chose to keep.
