Award-winning chef Mark Moriarty returns to our screens with the second series of ‘Cook Like a Chef’ on RTÉ One, Monday 11th May at 8.00pm, sponsored by M&S. In this new series, Mark puts one standout ingredient centre stage in every episode, celebrating what makes it special and transforming it into three completely different dishes that are clever, creative and packed with flavour, sharing essential chef tricks, time-saving hacks and practical kitchen know-how along the way.
Each week he heads out to meet the farmers, growers and producers bringing our food from farm to fork, exploring why these ingredients taste so good, what makes them worth seeking out and how seasonality, care and craftsmanship make all the difference when it comes to sourcing ingredients and stocking up our store cupboards.
Back in the kitchen, Mark builds three completely different dishes around the weekly hero ingredient. With a handful of core ingredients, a well-stocked pantry and the incredible produce from all over the country, Mark shows how anyone can create impressive meals without spending hours in the kitchen.
In Episode One, Mark chooses Chicken as the hero ingredient creating three mouthwatering dishes: Chicken and Mushroom Pan Pie, Chicken Schnitzel with Fried Eggs and Ceasar Salad and Classic Chicken Chausseur. He shares the simple chef tricks, techniques and smart shortcuts that instantly level up home cooking, giving you that restaurant standard in your kitchen at home.
