Episode 5: County Dublin

The 13th series comes to a close with two walks that celebrate the remarkable diversity of landscape on Dublin’s doorstep. Scientist and author Luke O’Neill joins Doireann for a coastal journey from Dún Laoghaire Pier along the shoreline to Dalkey Island, combining stunning sea views with the kind of wide-ranging conversation that only a brilliant scientific mind can bring.

Then broadcaster and writer Maia Dunphy takes to the hills for a walk from Tibradden Wood to Glencullen on the Dublin Mountains Way, finding perspective, solitude, and unexpected beauty high above the city. A fitting finale for a series that has once again reminded us there is always more to discover on the island of Ireland.
