Episode 4: County Kildare
The series settles into the gentle waterways and rich heritage of County Kildare for a double walk along two of Ireland’s most beloved routes. Musician Jack Lukeman, or Jack L, brings his distinctive energy and passion for the Irish landscape to a journey along the Barrow Blueway from the historic town of Athy to the peaceful village of Vicarstown, following one of Ireland’s great rivers through the heart of the country.
In the second half, acclaimed soprano Celine Byrne walks the tranquil towpath of the Grand Canal from Monasterevin to Robertstown, reflecting on the landscape, her music, and what this quietly beautiful corner of Ireland means to her.
