It’s back to the Session Archives tonight, with tracks from sessions from the 2000s, and the 1990s. Cathy Davey recorded many sessions in Studio 8, but tonight, Dan brings us one from 2007; the year that she brought us her second album ‘Tales Of Silversleeve’.
Cork has given birth to so much great musical talent over the years, and this week Dan brings us a session from the archives from one of the best to come from the southwest; The Altered Hours (2013). The band’s third self-titled album arrived last year, and proved to be one of the year’s best.
Female Hercules were a band that brought us their brand of noise during the 1990s and early 2000s. Their take on garage rock had streaks of punk throughout, but they were layered on top of what are crafted pop tunes. This Fanning Session was recorded in their early days in March of 1993.
