After more than a decade documenting every moment of her life, a year ‘dating to date’ and a weariness of attracting the ‘wrong type’, busy social media star Cloda (29) from Tipperary is keen to ditch the apps and meet someone ‘in the wild’. Cloda’s first taste of blind dating is pharma worker Mons (31) from Waterford – a dad of three with a crush on Kim Kardashian and a habit of calling people – including Cloda – ‘bro’ which almost derails the date.
Moonbathing energy healer Elaine (41) from Tallaght claims to be able to speak with ‘little spirits’ that wake her in the night to crack jokes. As a dad of two, actor Darren (40) from Donabate can relate. Elaine, who describes herself as ‘good crazy’, believes that ‘angels’ are going to hook her up. Good thing Darren is determined to ‘shoot for the stars’.
Former dancer and 80s style aficionado Dawid (20) from Clondalkin whose glorious red bouffant is the result of ‘spending most of his teenage life ‘in the pursuit of hair volume’ arrives on a good hair day feeling like he’s been ‘fired out of a cannon’. Enter: laid back and ‘goofy’ graduate Karl (22) from Ballymun, who has grown to embrace his reputation as the ‘weird kid from school’ by finding people like himself and ‘sticking with them’.
Tired of messing around with ‘situationships’ and looking for a ‘GAA loving culchie farmer type’, preferably in wellies, creche worker Sarah (21) from Wicklow finds common ground with agricultural science student Peter (21) from Donegal.
