Series Synopsis
The unexpected death of Leonard’s mother, the approaching wedding of Hungry Paul’s sister and a tentative new romance for Leonard, prompts both men to meet a world that is suddenly wider and full of unfamiliar possibilities.
Episode 1
Leonard begins to open up his world with the help of his best friend Hungry Paul.
An imaginative, friendless child, Leonard was never lonely, and even as an adult he was content living with his mother and playing board games with his best friend Hungry Paul. But when his mother dies, Leonard faces the world with fresh eyes, aware he could slip into a life of insignificance. But just how does he expand his world? Hungry Paul, content with the size of his universe, is pushed by his mother to volunteer at a hospital, where he bonds with Mrs Hawthorn. Meanwhile, Leonard’s new colleague Shelley makes him smile for the first time in weeks.
