After being abandoned by her sister Sare in Ireland, Suze discovers unsettling news about her fertility. Meanwhile, in Toronto, Sare is planning her wedding, but hiding a secret health crisis. When an unexpected invitation to Sare’s wedding prompts Suze to travel to Canada, a chaotic journey begins—filled with family secrets, unexpected revelations, and strained relationships. As Sare’s wedding day approaches, Suze uncovers more about her sister’s struggles, and both women are forced to confront their pasts and their futures. Episode One:
Eighteen months after Sare abandons Suze in Ireland, Suze discovers that her eggs are well and truly pickled and there’s little hope that she’ll have a biological child. Meanwhile, in Toronto, all looks rosy for Sare who seems to be living her best life as she plans her wedding to Steve.
But all is not as it seems, Sare has a secret. She has discovered she has the cancer gene that killed her mother, and she needs to have surgery pronto if she wants to beat the odds. When an invitation to Sare’s wedding lands in Dublin, Suze is reluctant to go but after she accidentally kills Deryl with his own ice-cream van, she realizes she needs her sister more than ever. Sheryl and Suze find money hidden in Deryl’s van and get on the road to Canada for Sare’s wedding.
