MONDAY 1ST DECEMBER
PRESENTER BLÁTHNAID NÍ CHOFAIGH
This evening’s Nationwide programme comes from Donegal and Belfast with stories of the Irish language and of the keeping of the tradition of weaving alive in the North West.
Oireachtas na Gaeilge takes place every year, and this year it was held in Belfast. It brings together Gaels from home and abroad, some there to enjoy the music and fun, but for many there is a competitive side of the festival. Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh visited Aisling Uí Ghribín in County Armagh and her three daughters before they headed to Belfast for the competition where she then meets them again as they participate.
Bláthnaid also travels to County Donegal to meet people passionate about preserving the county’s rich weaving tradition and who are taking part an ETB training course on weaving.
WEDNESDAY 3RD DECEMBER

Guest presenter Colm Flynn is in Cork to meet young people who are tackling life’s challenges in their own way, finding joy in fully participating across different fields of endeavour and taking pride in the accomplishments that bring purpose and meaning to their lives.
