Series overview
When investigative reporter Olatz Alzola and her family are brutally murdered in Bilbao,
DS Claire Wallace is drawn into a case that links their killings to a CAB raid in Ireland that
ended in tragedy. On the trail of €27 million embezzled by portfolio manager Nick Heaslip,
Claire follows the money to the Basque Country. There, she teams up with Detective Jon Beitia after another body is found. As they uncover ties to migrant-smuggling, a charity, and
an Irish ex-con, the two investigators race to expose the truth before more lives are lost.
Episode one overview
In Dublin, a CAB raid led by Detective Sergeant Claire Wallace, hopes to recover €27 million
in embezzled funds but ends in tragedy. In Bilbao, gunman Brian O’Neill murders
investigative reporter Olatz Alzola and her family, leaving only her daughter Idoia alive.
O’Neill kidnaps Olatz’s source, PhD student Adama Seidu, seeking their research but fails to
secure it. Basque Detective Jon Beitia is entrusted with Olatz’s investigation notes and begins
probing the case. Pursued by Claire, suspect Alice Heaslip and her son Ollie arrive at their
Bilboa villa, unaware O’Neill is holding Adama captive inside.
