While she revels in her revenge, Emerson investigates a tattoo discrepancy on John Doe’s corpse. The story about Tom Quigley’s milking machines runs on the front page of the paper, and he finds himself in the firing line of a disgusted town that can’t dispose of its milk fast enough – Emerson has successfully eliminated another candidate from the race. Hughie’s prison plea forces his dying mother, Lily, to end her cancer treatment. Elvira writes Lily’s obituary and, as tensions rise, Elvira faces Hughie at his mother’s funeral. Hughie offers to reveal the real murderer in exchange for bail. With all this going on, Elvira’s bond with Emerson deepens, leaving her questioning how much of her true self she can reveal.
Series Overview
Having discovered a winning combination of love and murder, life’s been good for Elvira (Siobhán Cullen). But then she’s faced with her father Ward’s sudden death. Spiraling, Elvira again looks to love and murder to move on, only to discover it’s not working. Something’s missing, but it’s hardly something Elvira has time to figure out as her hands are full of problems. First up is the chaotic new boss Vivienne (Máiréad Tyers) trying to destroy her relationship by putting Emerson (Ronan Raftery) and Elvira at odds over a new promotion. Then there’s her vengeful former boss, Hughie (David Ganley), currently making big plans to secure his release from prison and expose Elvira’s crimes. And then there’s another potential killer in town – which has put her in the crosshairs of the investigation by Detective Rose Mulcahy (Noni Stapleton). It’s make or break time for Elvira, with the power to either bring her downfall or set her free.
