Series Overview
Having discovered a winning combination of love and murder, life’s been good for Elvira (Siobhán Cullen). But then she’s faced with her father Ward’s sudden death. Spiraling, Elvira again looks to love and murder to move on, only to discover it’s not working. Something’s missing, but it’s hardly something Elvira has time to figure out as her hands are full of problems. First up is the chaotic new boss Vivienne (Máiréad Tyers) trying to destroy her relationship by putting Emerson (Ronan Raftery) and Elvira at odds over a new promotion. Then there’s her vengeful former boss, Hughie (David Ganley), currently making big plans to secure his release from prison and expose Elvira’s crimes. And then there’s another potential killer in town – which has put her in the crosshairs of the investigation by Detective Rose (Noni Stapleton). It’s make or break time for Elvira, with the power to either bring her downfall or set her free.
Episode 1
Elvira’s life spirals after the death of her father. As she grieves, Emerson – desperate to secure his future – strikes a secret deal with their ruthless new boss, Vivienne, for a shot at an editor job.
Meanwhile, Elvira’s own career is threatened by Ruby, a cunning intern who steals her stories and mocks Ward’s death. Plotting revenge, Elvira tracks Ruby’s routine, but before she can strike, a masked killer beats her to it. Now, Elvira is a suspect. To save herself, she must solve Ruby’s murder before the police do.
Then Vivienne ups the stakes: if Elvira cracks the case first, she gets the editor job. The catch? She can’t tell Emerson. As Elvira fights for control, Hughie, her imprisoned ex-boss, watches from afar, his cell covered in her obituaries.
