Overview of series Six:
Cheap Irish Homes returns for a sixth series. Maggie Molloy is hitting the road again to help house hunters on a budget find great value properties. This time she will be joined by a new building expert, architect, Tadhg Casey. Raised on a dairy farm in North Kerry, Tadhg credits his rural upbringing – working on building sites, farming, and steel fabrication – in shaping his grounded, hands-on approach to architecture.
He’s passionate about preserving and revitalising Ireland’s architectural traditions and using local materials and sustainable methods.
Maggie has been really impressed by Tadhg. “You can see that he really cares about old buildings and breathing life back into them” she says “It’s great that Tadhg can share his knowledge with our house hunters who are often overwhelmed by the thought of buying a property that may need a lot of work.”
Together, Maggie and Tadhg hope to show people that even in a tough housing market it’s still possible to discover the prefect, Cheap Irish Home.
