Catherine Fulvio’s St Patrick’s Way

Catherine Fulvio embarks on a Soulful Journey along Northern Ireland’s Saint Patrick’s Way in a new Two-Part Series airing on RTE in the run up to St Patrick’s Day.

The show will air on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th March on RTE One at 8pm

TV chef, food writer, and owner of Ballyknocken House & Cookery School, Catherine Fulvio, takes viewers on a journey along Saint Patrick’s Way: The Pilgrim Walk, a 132-kilometer trail through the Cathedral County and home of Ireland’s spiritual capital, Armagh and onward through the beautiful coastal landscape of County Down in the North of Ireland. This enriching two-part series sees Catherine journey along sections of the trail through unspoilt natural scenery on an immersive exploration of history, spirituality and the unique culture that defines Ireland’s pilgrim path as she experiences world class local food and drink. From Armagh to Downpatrick – St. Patrick’s final resting place – this programme offers a blend of the natural world, meaningful conversations and culinary delights that highlight the beauty and depth of this iconic route which opened 10 years ago.                                                       

Episode 1

Episode one highlights Armagh’s rich history with a guided tour with local Donna Fox before meeting Darren Rice to explore Gosford Forest Park and learn about the Mourne Gullion Strangford area, awarded a designated UNESCO Global Geopark in 2023, one of only four in Ireland.  Catherine ends her day with a spot of forest bathing at Killeavy Castle Estate which is set on 365 acres of mixed farm and woodland in the stunning Ring of Gullion; the ideal place to relax and unwind and enjoy after a long walk.
