MOVIES AND MUSICALS WITH AEDÍN GORMLEY

Acclaimed as one of the greatest actresses of her generation, a chance to hear Jessica Lange in conversation with Aedín Gormley, recorded at the Dublin International Film Festival. Jessica Lange has continued to take on diverse roles in many film, television and theatre projects. She took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in Sydney Pollack’s memorable comedy Tootsie (1982) and was also nominated that year for her challenging performance in Frances. She won her second Oscar in 1994 for Best Actress in Blue Sky. Lange has also starred in legendary films such as Sweet Dreams (1985), The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981), and Cape Fear (1991). She starred in the television series Grey Gardens, Feud: Bette and Joan and American Horror Story. She played the role of Mary Tyrone in A Long Day’s Journey into Night, on Broadway and in the West End and was in Dublin to celebrate the film version of this epic play, which had its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival.
