Baroque Music Super Sunday is here, with several major composer birthdays falling on this auspicious Sunday. Georg Frideric Handel, John Blow, George Muffat – three names with plenty of cachet. Handel’s sonatas are a sometimes-ignored corner of the composer’s output, and Vlad will shine a spotlight on these beautiful works alongside the sacred and secular chamber output of Englishman John Blow. Plus, German composer and organist Georg Muffat’s Concerti grossi and collection ‘Florilegium primum’ will be highlighted throughout the morning’s programme.
