Marking St Brigid’s Day, Imbolc and the beginning of spring, Daybreak celebrates creativity in women with choral works by composers featured on Vox Feminina II, the latest release from St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral Girls’ Choir including Eibhlís Farrell’s Amhrán Naomh Bríghid. In Our Daily Bach, the joyful cantata Gott ist mein König (God is my King), BWV 71, written in Mühlhausen by a youthful 22 year old Johann Sebastian Bach for the inauguration of a new town council on 4 February 1708.
