Stage and screen actor, theatre director, writer and creative artist, Olwen Fouéré, speaks openly about growing up in the West of Ireland with Breton parents who sought political asylum in Ireland following her father’s sentencing in absentia for treason, following WW2 – a conviction that was later quashed. She talks movingly about her marriage to Fair City actor David Heap, the loss of both their infant children around the time of birth and the devastating illness that David is now living with. Olwen also discusses candidly how much of her life is in two streams, in terms of her creative work, her intimate relationships and her gender identity.
