This Christmas Eve, join Derek Mooney for a festive hour like no other, as he teams up with the jolly man in red—Santa Claus himself—live from the North Pole! ️ It’s an hour of joy, laughter, and Christmas spirit as Derek invites children all over Ireland to chat with Santa to share their Christmas wishes. It’s an annual institution beloved of families everywhere.
“I can’t wait!” says Derek. “It’s the most interesting programme on radio, in fact, it’s the only radio show that the entire family can enjoy together. We receive so many letters and emails we could broadcast nonstop for an entire week! The fact that Santa is multi-lingual means that he can communicate with children of all ages, regardless of where they are from. Everyone is welcome.”
What’s in store?
Children’s letters are the main focus, with Santa and Derek dipping into the postbag to share some of the heart-warming and sometimes humorous messages from across Ireland! And they’ll be joined by a talented group of singers from Down Syndrome Ireland who will lift your spirits with a Christmas song. So, gather the whole family, pour some hot chocolate, and join us for a Christmas Eve celebration.
