For over a quarter of a century, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year has recognised the success of Ireland’s inspirational business leaders
This year’s winner will be anointed at a gala awards ceremony at November 28th 2024 and the event will be televised on RTÉ ONE at 11.10pm that night.
In all, 24 excellent finalists were chosen from over 200 nominations. They hail from all across the island of Ireland, collectively they employ over 4000 people and generate revenues over €400m. The 24 shortlisted entrepreneurs span a range of sectors including consumer, health tech, pharmaceutical, energy and engineering.
To recognise the urgency of the climate crisis, this year will also see a special award for finalist who is making the biggest contribution towards environmental sustainability through their business.
Whoever wins the big prize on the night will then go on to represent Ireland in the World Entrepreneur Awards next Summer in Monte Carlo
The programmes will be presented this year by Kathryn Thomas and Anton Savage.
Kathryn Thomas is one of Ireland’s most well-known and best-loved TV and radio personalities. She became a household name as the presenter of Operation Transformation, The Voice and No Frontiers. She also presented this year’s Rose Of Tralee. Kathryn is herself an entrepreneur – founding and running her own fitness and wellness enterprise.
Anton Savage is a hugely experienced broadcaster across television and radio and in the day job, he is an expert communications consultant to the business community. With this in-depth knowledge of the entrepreneurial arena, he is a natural presenter of EY Entrepreneur Of The Year. Every weekend, he hosts his own current affairs radio show on Newstalk.
