Abdul – The Beekeeper of Inishowen
Six years ago, Abdul Ahmed, his wife Malik, and their young son settled in Carndonagh, Donegal, after fleeing the war in Syria. They were warmly welcomed by the community and found a sense of peace in their new home. Darragh McCullough sat down with Abdul to explore the family’s life before their journey to Ireland and to discover how Abdul turned his passion for bees into a flourishing business.

Day In The Life of a Chicken
Based in the stunning landscape of the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal, the Noone family farm has
undergone a remarkable transformation. Once focused solely on sheep and cattle, they made the bold decision to diversify into poultry a decade ago. Stephen Robb visits the farm to witness firsthand how the Noones process and package all their own birds on the family farm.

Irish Grey Partridge
On a bright September morning, Ella McSweeney made her way to Bagnelstown in County Carlow, driven by a mission of hope. She was there to assist in the release of birds whose calls had not echoed in the wild for decades. Teaming up with Larry Bolger, she engaged in a vital project led by the National Association of Regional Game Councils, dedicated to saving the Irish Grey Partridge from the brink of extinction.
