Coastwatch is seeking to map all seagrass meadows in Irish waters so they can be protected and nurtured. Seagrass is an exceptional plant for removing carbon, cleaning water and supporting biodiversity. Finding and validating a meadow isn’t straightforward though … as one volunteer discovers off the Clare coast.

  • Habitat ReStore 

The term pre-loved is commonly applied to things that have obvious second hand value – like cars or vintage clothes. Now, one resourceful charity has created a market for something completely different – pre-loved kitchens and bathrooms. Last year Habitat for Humanity saved 250 kitchens from landfill and found new homes for them, selling them through their Restore retail units.
