In this production of Mozart’s effervescent comedy of young love and infidelity. A tale of two pairs of lovers at the heart of the tale find themselves on one emotional, and sometimes literal, thrill ride after another. Tonight’s production features soprano, mezzo-soprano Federica Lombardi, Emily D’Angelo, tenor Filipe Manu, and bass-baritone Peter Kellner. Baritone Christopher Maltman, as the scheming Don Alfonso, and soprano Kate Lindsey joins the quartet of stars. Philippe Jordan conducts the Vienna State Opera Orchestra and Chorus in Mozart’s colourful and heartfelt score.
