2024 marks the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, first performed at the Theater am Kärntnertor in Vienna on May 7th 1824, and in today’s Full Score concert we will hear a performance of the Symphony by the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra conducted by Alan Gilbert. Liz Nolan presents a showcase of unabridged musical masterworks, featuring live recordings of Irish and international performers, plus selections from the latest CD releases.
