Today we’ll hear the first programme in the brand-new series of Cuan an Cheoil, a ten-part series presented by Liam Ó Maonlaí and produced by Stiúideo Cuan. This series will feature extended interviews with some of the country’s best-known musicians, who will join Liam Ó Maonlaí for a wide-ranging discussion touching on various aspects of music and life, and they will also play together. This series kicks off this evening with Colm Ó Snodaigh and Seanan Brennan. Colm Ó Snodaigh, born in Dublin is a fluent Irish speaker. He plays the flute and sings with the band Kíla. Senan Brennan, from Donegal, is also a member of the band Kíla, and plays the guitar, bass and mandola. This series is funded by Coimisiún na Meán with the Television Licence Fee.
