While many of us are familiar with the tragic death of children at Mother and Baby Homes, what happened to the children who survived and who were the people or families who were meant to take care of them. In Farmed Out, Hannah Quinn-Mulligan follows the stories of some of Ireland’s 30,000 children, fostered by farm families in the last century. While some of these children went to loving homes on farms, others faced a life of cruelty and hardship that still haunts them to this day.
