RTÉ News presents a new series of US politics podcast States of Mind. Hosted by RTÉ’s Washington Correspondent Sean Whelan and RTÉ reporter Jackie Fox, the fortnightly podcast series will follow all the twists and turns of an unprecedented US election cycle, by breaking down the important stories and providing in-depth analysis.
From President Biden stepping aside as the Democratic candidate to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, already this campaign has thrown up its fair share of drama. With the Democrats still to confirm their ticket for President and vice-President and their Convention next month, plus the possibility of more TV debates, this contest is heating up. In each episode Jackie and Sean will interview politicians and political commentators from both the sides of the political aisle to analyse and make sense of the campaign. Their guest’s expertise will give Irish listeners a real insight into how the US public will vote and how issues in the campaign may impact Ireland.
