Members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are in their 60s/70s/80s today are among the first generations to have lived the whole of their adulthood out and proud. As they experience their older years, the one-size-fits-all nature of care models, supported living and social outlets, don’t necessarily work for them. In this episode we’ll chat about chosen family, exciting initiatives like Tonic and Stonewall Housing as well as the joy of seeing a new generation flourish in a fairer society, the importance of protecting and passing on the queer history flame and how essential inclusivity is in later life.
