Anniversaries for two of the ‘biggies’ of early music fall on this Sunday: JS Bach and Vivaldi both die on the 28th of July in 1750 and 1741, respectively. We’ll visit some of their lesser-known gems, and we’ll also explore the music of Leonora Duarte, Flemish composer of Portuguese-Sephardic ancestry. Also, some of summer’s best early music CD releases, all on a Sunday’s Vox Nostra.
