Entertainer and musician Pat Shortt and his old friend, Stockton’s Wing frontman Mike Hanrahan, take a musical road trip around Ireland to discover the history behind some of our greatest songs. Then, they perform those songs in local venues with both new and established local musicians.

Episode Three
In episode three, Pat & Mike continue their journey around Ireland starting in the City of the Tribes, Galway, where they perform The West’s Awake with musical collective Baba Yarga before moving on to Roscommon where they perform Eileen Óg with Dervish’s Cathy Jordan.
Leaving Roscommon behind them they travel to Mayo where they meet Con Murphy and collaborate on a song made famous by Pádraig Pearse, Óró Sé Do Bheatha Bhaile. While in Mayo, the lads drop into the McBride Care Unit to visit the residents and sing a song.
Sligo’s Hawks Well Theatre is the next stop where Sinéad Conway, gives her own take on The Salley Gardens. Episode three comes to a close in Carrick On Shannon, Co Leitrim where Mike’s old friend Eleanor Shanley and our two presenters perform Lovely Leitrim.
