The Complaints Bureau is a new consumer series for RTÉ One. Finance expert Eoin McGee sets the caseload for three consumer journalists advocating and arguing on behalf of members of the public who have hit brick walls. The trio – Conor Pope, Amy Molloy and Siobhan Maguire tackle problems big, small and seemingly intractable. Along the way there are frustrations, dead ends, awkward interviews, cautionary tales and, sometimes at least, successful results.
In episode eight, Conor Pope seeks to help a Galway woman who was the victim of a very sophisticated and costly scam that saw her lose an eye-watering €10,000. Siobhan Maguire and the mystery of the poor credit rating denying a retired dentist a credit card. And Amy Molloy tries to reunite a bride with her wedding dress – after nearly 4 years!
