With just two more sleeps til Christmas, Celine Byrne raids the archive of RTÉ Christmas music shows and shares some of her favourite festive performances.
Celine Byrne’s Christmas Selection Box includes a stockingful of treats, with performances by Andrea Corr, Tolü Makay, The Voice Squad, Lisa O’Neill, Emma Langford, Erica-Cody and Sinead O’Connor, recorded in some of Ireland’s most sumptuous locations.
While Jack L & Shobsy and Mick Flannery & Susan O’Neill offer gorgeous new interpretations of classic Christmas songs, the show also features stunning arrangements of traditional carols, performed by the Choir of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, and by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, with Eurovision winners Johnny Logan and Eimear Quinn, and even with Celine, herself.
This is the international opera superstar’s first time presenting a TV show for RTÉ and Celine Byrne is delighted to share her selection box.
