A brand new series, which starts on 4th of December
RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player
JourneyCam: International is an exciting new young peoples documentary series for RTÉ 2 which follows the adventures of Irish children from different backgrounds as they travel across borders and continents, from their home in Ireland to a faraway place with which they have a direct family or cultural connection to – a destination that is at the very core of their heritage.
Using a little ‘JourneyCam’ camera to document their experiences, these young explorers get up close and personal with sights and sounds of the exciting places they visit. Over the course of each journey, these children share their own thoughtful accounts of what it’s like to be connected to another place and show us how they celebrate their different cultural and family connections. Each journey in this series offers a uniquely Irish perspective on life in another country.
Episode 1: India (part 1)
Twins Ishaan and Vihaan (10) go on a journey to explore their Indian heritage. Bringing the JourneyCam along with them to help document their travels, they reunite with family, take a trip on a rickshaw around Mumbai, go shopping for a traditional kurta, and celebrate the Hindu festival of colour – Holi.
