Series Overview

In My BodyFix, six patients get to see inside their own bodies using virtual reality imaging before they agree to go under the knife.

Being diagnosed with a serious medical condition that requires surgery is terrifying for anyone.   In this series presented by Kathryn Thomas, we follow patients with a variety of different illnesses and injuries as they brace themselves for surgery.  Using the latest digital technology, the patients see 3D scans revealing inside their own bodies like never before, and their medical conditions are brought to life.  Their surgical consultants answer questions about the treatments they propose to fix their problems.  The result is a series of extraordinary consultations allowing the viewers to grasp common medical complaints and how they can be treated.

Across the series, we’ll feature oncology, renal, orthopedic and cardiac conditions, meeting the patients who let us into their worlds, as they bravely face their treatment journeys.
