Love In The Country

Love in the Country is a new dating series that’s follows six rural singletons looking for love! Living and working in the country, these hopefuls say it’s tough to find anyone to go out with, never mind someone to settle down with! They are ready to bear their souls, and open their homes, in some of the most remote and romantic parts of the country as they set out to find people willing to give country living a try!

Spurring them on is Presenter Anna Geary, who takes the bull by the horns in helping them find the perfect partner. Anna, who grew up on a farm, knows the pitfalls of a busy country life, with not enough hours in the day for working, never mind finding time to look for love. These singletons need a little leg up over various obstacles in their search for love in the country. And she’s just the woman to give them the push!

Over this six-part series, the romantic hopefuls will get the chance to invite potential partners back home to try out their rural life. But will these daters be willing to drop everything for a new life, and love, in the country? The six ‘rural singletons’ are Andy, a farmer from Westmeath, Alannagh, a sheep farmer and veterinary nursing student from Roscommon, Rob, a pharmacist and part time farmer from West Cork, Jano, a coffee shop owner from Wexford, George, a land custodian from Carlow, and Edwina, a café owner from Mayo.

The series will follow them through love letters, speed dates, farm stays and on to the final decisions. Will love blossom in the country?
