With her next victim selected, Elvira finds herself distracted by anonymous poison pen letters
sent to the paper’s obituarist. Elvira sets off on a mission to find the person, who is revealed
to be a bitter old woman named Peggy Brunswick. Through a series of twists and near misses,
Elvira ends up finding a new victim which brings her closer to Emerson, who it is revealed has
come to Kilraven to solve the murder five years ago of German national Maria Riedle.
