Part drawing show, part animated adventure, Star Wars and Marvel comic book artist Will Sliney intends once again to teach all those budding young drawers out there to create using the most powerful weapon in the world – a pencil.
In this season we follow the epic intergalactic tale of a team of new comic book superheroes led by Will and his animated alter ego The Will-ustrator alongside his wise-cracking sidekick Ogham, as they battle to defeat the Chronicle.
“It’s great to be back with a new season of the Storytellers” said Will Sliney, “We have already seen so many kids around Ireland creating brilliant new superheroes and villains, so hopefully our show will help inspire the next generation of artists and storytellers.”
The series was produced by Jonathan Loughran and Morgan Bushe for Pioneertown Productions. Leading kids’ entertainment specialist CAKE are on board for world sales having recently concluded early deals for Spain, Sweden, China, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Thailand, for season one.
“Our A-list voice cast are back”, said Jonathan Loughran, “and together with the kids of Ireland we’ll create a new universe of Superheroes and Supervillains who battle for the future of the Earth using art.”
With an all-star cast voiced this season that includes WWE Superstar Wrestler Becky Lynch, BAFTA winner and stand-up comics Aisling Bea and Dermot Whelan, make sure to tune into RTÉ2 to follow all the action daily at 4pm from Monday September 25th, or catch up on the RTÉ Player. And remember, drawing is a skill absolutely everyone can learn.
