John Torode’s Ireland

In this 6-part journey Masterchef Judge John Torode tours, tastes and cooks his way through a country which boasts some of the best produce on earth and where the food scene is now buzzing. John finds great dishes everywhere from Michelin-starred restaurants in Dublin and Galway to cosy local pubs on the Wild Atlantic Way to a pig farmer’s home kitchen.

EP6 –  ARAN ISLANDS, GALWAY AND RETURN TO DUBLIN 

John’s final stop on this Irish journey begins on the island of Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands off the Galway Coast.  He’s taken on a spectacular off-road driving tour, meets a fisherman turned goat farmer making award-winning cheeses, bakes a cheese tart in the award-winning island café and forages for seaweed on the Aran shore. He then takes the ferry back to Galway City, where he tastes a Michelin starred three course dinner that is an Irish history lesson on a plate.  And for his final stop, he returns to Dublin where he finally learns how to pull a pint of Guinness.
