TRIM TIDY TOWNS PROGRAMME
On tonight’s programme, Nationwide is in Trim in County Meath to celebrate the towns winning ways in the Super Valu Tidy towns competition. The programme meets the volunteers and sees the work carried out over the years and Bláthnaid joins the celebrations as President Higgins comes to Trim to unveil the plaque to mark the towns winning this prestigious overall winner award.
TRIM TIDY TOWNS/REPORT MARIAN MALONE
In the months since the win, Trim has benefited from that victory with lots of people coming to visit. It’s been a busy year and with the President’s visit the last few days have been even busier for the Tidy Towns volunteers. Over the last few days our reporter Marian Malone has been finding out about Trims winning ways and the preparations for the President visit.

FAMILY’S BEHIND THE BAR
Nationwide features two family pubs with literary connections. The Palace Bar in Dublin reaches the grand age of 200 and Anne Cassin visits John B Keane’s pub in Listowel, where his son Billy talks about life behind the bar and of his late parent’s, John B. and Mary.
