Home Rescue: The Big Fix

**LAST EPISODE OF THE SERIES**

HOME RESCUE 2023: EPISODE SIX – TX DATE: Thursday 18th May @ 9.30pm on RTE TWO

In this the last episode of the series, the Home Rescue team travel to Co. Carlow, where for the last six years, Katherine, David Fitzpatrick and their three kids have been living in a 1960s three bed semi that’s never really been a proper family home for them.

Filled with the décor and legacy furniture of the previous owners, the house is stuck in the past with a chaotic living room doubling as a playroom but functioning as neither.

Diagnosed with epilepsy as a teenager, Katherine sometimes has to spend several hours resting in a dark, gloomy bedroom flanked by too many wardrobes and too much clutter! Meanwhile, the bedroom of their youngest son Darragh is hemmed in by a huge hot press, numerous washing baskets, and a cot that he’s outgrown.

Determined to give the family space to make their own mark on the place, Dee decides to integrate the living room with a media and storage wall. Upstairs, she hatches a plan to rehabilitate Darragh’s room with a relocated door and bespoke LEGO themed cupboards.

As the extended family rows into help with the clearout, Dee has high hopes but with Katherine averse to bright colours and the team struggling to strip stubbornly adhesive wallpaper off all three rooms, the stakes are high and time is limited.

As Katherine attempts to separate family treasure from the clutter of the past, the whole team joins forces to renovate the house, future-proofing this family home that time forgot will be no easy task…

Goodbye Clutter. Hello Makeover. Narrated by Irish comedian Neil Delamere.
