MUSIC AND DANCE PROGRAMME
Nationwide has stories of music and dance. In Donegal the programme takes a trip down memory lane with Singer and Musician, Charlie McGettigan. Plus, Nationwide travels to Cork to hear of the history of Ballet in the city and county and to meet some of the young people with a passion for this most disciplined of dance forms.

For such a small country, we are really lucky to have some incredible singers and songwriters that have produced beautiful music for us over the years, and many of these songs became part of the soundtrack of our lives. We are in Ballyshannon in County Donegal to meet one of those songwriters. To some he is known as a Rock n Roll kid, to others, he has the Feet of a Dancer. Our reporter Colm Flynn went to meet songwriter Charlie McGettigan.

This story is about Dance but not just any dance. Ballet is a discipline which takes years to perfect and recently Zainab Boladale met up with some young people in Cork who have a passion for Ballet. She also discovers a rich history of Ballet in Cork city.

ANIMATION IN IRELAND PROGRAMME
Nationwide is in Dingle where people who are animated about animation converged last weekend for the 11th ‘Animation Dingle’, Ireland’s top animation festival. Presenter Anne Cassin met some big players including Nora Twomey from the animation studio, Cartoon Saloon in Kilkenny.

One of the most prominent figures in Irish animation is Nora Twomey, co-founder of Cartoon Saloon, the five-time Academy Award, Golden Globe, Bafta and Emmy nominated animation studio. Anne Cassin has been to meet Nora in Kilkenny city which has been home to Cartoon Saloon since 1999.

The programme meets entrepreneurs and risk takers who are rising to the challenge and whose stories will offer hope and inspiration to all who are thinking of doing something new and taking on challenges in life.

We have an inspirational story of a man who has had to adjust to huge challenges in his life. Following the loss of his sight at a young age, some years later he had a major fall that nearly killed him. But he persevered, and today he runs his own business and is driven by a heroic mission in life. Marian Malone has been to meet Mark Pollock.
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAMME/REPORT VALERIE WATERS
A tailored approach to addressing the challenges of entrepreneurs with a disability has been set up by TU Dublin and AIB in the form of an online course. Valerie Waters went to meet a graduate of that course in his studio gym in Dublin.
