We open episode 4 with Banríon an Bhosca Ceoil Sharon Shannon playing an intimate set for friends and family in Canton Caseys in Mullingar.

Celtic Connections award-winners Alan, Tom, Caroline and Robbie, better known as FourWinds, show their pedigree with a lively performance at the Fleadh.

Scoil Éigse is a very important aspect of the Fleadh each year, particularly the classes for students with additional needs, run by the very talented Tommy Hayes. Parent and musician Seán Montgomery explains how important and inclusive those classes have been for his family in particular.

Fearghas McGormáin and friends put on a show with Patrick O’ Loughlin on button accordion, Shane Meehan on fiddle, John Daly also on fiddle and Gerard Lord on guitar playing The Silver Spire, Kingfisher’s Delight and The Traveller

Family is at the core of traditional music, and this is especially evident at the Fleadh where we meet some members of a local trad-mad family – the Nea Family – with Colin Nea (box), Kathryn Nea (Singing) and Joe Finn (flute)

Mammy Marie is one of the unsung heroes of the Fleadh – rumour has it she bakes buns and cakes for every Fleadh fundraiser.

It’s a family affair again with siblings John and Lily Mundy performing a set of tunes.

The sun sets on another jam-packed day at the Fleadh campsite with a brilliant performance from Conor Arkins, Sean and Aisling Lyons, Aisling Hunt and Danny Collins.
