In the final chapter of the 2022 book awards season, a one-hour special on RTÉ One television presented by Oliver Callan will explore the six books shortlisted for the ‘An Post Irish Book Awards Book of the Year 2022’.

Finalists this year are Trespasses by first time novelist Louise Kennedy, Time And Tide memoir by Irish journalist and broadcaster Charlie Bird, My Fourth Time, We Drowned an astounding account of the migrant crisis in North Africa and the Mediterranean sea by journalist Sally Hayden, Girls Who Slay Monsters by Ellen Ryan and illustrated by Shona Shirley MacDonald, Kellie -a memoir of an Olympic champion by Kellie Harrington with Roddy Doyle and Again, Rachel by Marian Keyes. 

Oliver takes a closer look at the stories and the writers behind those stories, culminating in the reveal of this year’s overall winner.
