Five years ago, Dr. Eva Orsmond, Ireland’s most outspoken weight loss expert packed up her life for a brand new dream. She and her family gambled everything they owned and invested in an old Portuguese farmhouse turned hotel, planning to transform it into a weight loss and wellness retreat. After a public separation, Eva reunited with her engineer husband Wyatt to make her dream a reality. There’s just one problem, the former hotel that they bought had been left derelict for years and needed a massive overhaul to live up to Eva’s five star standards. What could possibly go wrong? Everything! With no foundations, lack of planning permission and spiraling costs, Eva’s dream looked like it was turning into a nightmare.
In this week’s episode, Eva and Wyatt are still navigating the difficulties of their decision to divorce. With a commitment to get the hotel finished, the couple can finally tackle the last, but arguably most important of interior design challenges as they order the lobby and restaurant furniture. Will the lobby ooze luxury as Eva hoped? Will the custom made restaurant booths fit? Only time, and a delivery, will tell!. But the challenges don’t end here. As the hotel nears completion, they must find and recruit the staff who will help them run their health and weight loss resort. And finally, after five long years, Solar Alvura welcomes its first ever guests for a trial week. After all the heartbreak and hardships, is Eva’s dream going to become a reality?
